Em5 ii

spidey89 is preparing a hands-on review as we speaks!!

I'm seriously tempted... It gives me the same feeling/desire when I look at X-T1...

I am looking forward to see what sort of pre-order deal Olympus Singapore will come up with. In the UK, there is an offer of 5 years warranty. Body only price in the US is US$1,099.

It seem like a very nicely refined product. They've addressed pretty much every complaint I had with the mark 1.
Great to see the same battery used.
Added functionality to the external flash (bounce and swivel) and looks like no fiddly port covers, just straight onto the hotshoe.
Big AF-ON (Fn1 button)
Wifi
The 40MP mode is more interesting from a colour fidelity POV than just the extra resolution.
Can't tell if the eye cup design has improved yet.

Hey Spidey,
Jumping the gun here but any hands-on event for CS members planned?

I can check and see if its possible anytime soon

There's only 1 camera that I said I like from the Olympus m43 system, and I'm glad to say, with the vertical grip, the E-M5 Mkii is the 2nd camera that falls in that list, despite the smallish buttons hahaha

I looked at the review by spidey89, looks like the ECG-2 L-plate grip will block the swivel screen?

It would seem to be the case, I'll see if I can get a piece for a kopi session if I can get one together

Question: Can the Touchscreen be use when recording video on the EM5m2?

does the EM5 ii has the new better 5 axis IBIS in photoshooting compared to previous models (EM1, EM5) or it is just the IBIS is implemented into video mode ? HAHA

Its supposed to be even better ;) one guy here managed to do a 1/5s handheld shot at 150mm on it.

wonder what kind of package will be made available in sg.. hopefully they have body only option..

Price for body, preorder $1099us in USA, I think very reasonable with so much of features...

Interested on how the dot sight attachment works...

i remember when em5 was launch, its street price was $1700+ include the 12-50..
