Eighteen to Two Hundred VR again....

I am really amazed why they run the FPC through an area with so much mechanical activity.

No choice, the VR lens is inside the barrel

I was thinking they might be able to choose a side where the focusing lever doesn't have to slide over. ;p

Thanks, let 's just call it reconnection or should I say reinforcement.
It's the same "connection" procedure I use to fix C lenses.
For C lenses, the FFC cable that connects the PCB and aperture motor gets damaged after a lot of zoom in and out.

More of a reconnection. ;p Need quite a bit of patience to do that.

True enough, I've just sent my 18-200mm on Monday as there is resistant when I try to focus, swee-swee after the 6 months warranty the problem came back again.

Price of repair is $270.

It was sent for repair on October 2009.

Now, I've no lens for the RSN open house.

Just collected my 18-200mm, replace VR FPC.

Labour charge $180 and parts charge is $12, making a total of $205.45.

I didn't call Jonathan.

Just wait for 2010, not sure what will be the problem.

Thanks.
