LOL I noticed your nick just 2 character difference with SMRT :bsmilie:

I find it amusing
I am easily amused

I think they need additional express tracks that only stop at major hubs, like one line that only stops at jurong east, chua chu kang, woodlands, yishun, ang mo kio, toa payoh, Orchard, dhoby ghaut, city hall, raffles place, tanjong pagar, outram park, queenstown, clementi. One loop like that.

my sentiment also at least the interchange

cheers

Better than London's train services.

Almost certain to have delay upon delay. Then if got rail strike, then will have real problem. Singapore's MRT system is very efficient. The arrival and departure times and time taken to travel from station to station are actually very consistent.

has anybody tried the quality of subway in china? how was it compared to singapore?

Not impressed with the one in Beijing. Old and dirty compared to Singapore's. And avoid the toilets in the stations if you can hold. :bsmilie:

This is generally all over china la. I once go on tour and one lady shouted in toilet "GOT BLACK SNAKE!" then people rush in and all go LOL and hold nose. :sweatsm:

OK to be fair, it was in one of the village along the highway. I guess the farmer who collected the fertiliser has not make his round to this toilet. :bsmilie:

The toilet at the petrol stations are quite clean - similar to public toilet in MRT stations here.

I have not try any of the subway at all. I think should be comparable over here for the newer one - the one they are builiding in Shanghai for world expo.

What is your take about KL inner city train and Bankok inner city train?
I never taken them during peak hour cos only go there for holiday but I found Bankok one quite ok a tad slow though - similar speed probably with Sentosa monorail

My first experience, I was at one of the Station and was waiting at the front end of the platform. When the train arrived, realised that it stop at the centre of the platform and I have to run as not to miss the train
It's not crowded but it's slow.

um ... I am starting to think I am a train otaku.

Oh hell - I am a train otaku. No more thinking.
LOL
