EF 11-24 F/4L

Can't see any barrel distortions in the photos. Perspective distortion, yes but it's inherent in any ultra wide angle.

they look pretty sharp but I must say the 11mm perspective is a bit weird for me

i have to constantly tell myself it's not barrel distortion it's not barrel distortion it's not barrel distortion it's not barrel distortion

$4.5k at f4 :(

Haha... I have the same problem with full shifts on the TSE-17, especially when you start pixel peeping at the corners. ;p

Anyway, what are the chances of falling to $3.5K (market price, not RRP) in 6 months or a year's time? After the initial wave of early adopters had their market demands met. Might be getting one then.

That's the fun bit of playing around with 11mm. I get a fresh perspective on things.

I don't mind it at F4 and the price is alright. Price of my suit anyway, which doesn't make any money. :bsmilie:

That front element..

At least there's some form of protection from the hood unlike the TS-E 17mm.

Used this gem in Kansai during the cherry blossom period. All I can say is it was extremely worth the money.

One particular shot which I really liked with this.

And if you guys think Singapore is expensive. Japan's even more insane, 405k yen tax free at Bic Camera with no stock.

Just picked up this beauty. 3 pieces only at Cathay all spoken for with a long waiting list.

I reserved mine the moment they announced it after picking up my DJI inspire 1.

First impressions, extremely heavy, but performed beautifully under extremely low light settings even with F4.

Canon's zoom trinity is finally completed after 13 long years of being in photography for me.

Why all taped up so much ?

SnowEagle: Are you selling your Sigma 12-24 in favour of the Canon 11-24? The Canon sounds like a pretty awesome lens! I look forward to your opinions about it.

Yes I'll be replacing my 12-24 for the 11-24. It's my ultimate dream UWA from Canon!

Once you have it, there shouldn't be a need to change again. I call this... among a few, a lifetime lens!

That's right! But at nearly $4K it's quite expensive. But if I have it then all my lenses will be L and covering a range of 11-300mm instead of the current 12-300mm. ;p

My Sigma 12-24 also have, only that the front element is smaller.
