I'm surprised the staff let you take #10.

Anyway, nice series. Certainly hope to see more.

I only have had trouble shooting at Expo MRT so far... But still managed to grab a few shots. Love that MRT station actually.. Singapore's MRT stations are really pretty in their own way..

Thanks for dropping by.

You are pretty lucky with MRT staff then.
I got stopped even along the walkway to the MRT at Khatib, and I was not even taking the station.
Probably an overzealous staff I guess.
Then again Khatib and Yishun are 'targeted' places :D

I pretty interested in the way you apply or adjust colors to fit a shot.
Is there a though process to it or a guideline that usually is a good starting point? (Eg. Cross-process for Street shots, that sort of thing)
I'm basically stuck with whatever the camera gives me, WB settings, saturation adjustments.... atm

I don't think I really have a very defined workflow color-wise for most photographs... The main issue is to replicate the scene as I saw it, most of the time... At least during the golden hours. Of course there are exceptions. For example, the last photograph, I wanted it to be "white", yet not to the point where there was no color. Looking at it again, I think I may tweak it a little bit brighter yet. Of course, the colors must go together. Firstly in terms of logic - I have witnessed many sunsets, for example, but never a green one. And there are "complementary colors", for example, blue tones tend to go well with magenta for the blue hour, and yellow with red for the times when the sun is still present in the sky.

For saturation and WB, I pretty much leave it in Auto WB unless I really dislike what I see, then I will take the trouble to shoot it again with something that I like better. Saturation in post - some things can afford to be more saturated than others, e.g. the sky. Usually I tend to push things hard, and then layer them over the original and adjust the opacity, and do finer adjustments with a soft eraser.

I'm not really sure if I've answered your questions... I tend to have a rather ad-hoc approach for treatment for most photos (beyond seascapes), so there isn't really a very well-defined structure.

Thanks. Its been helpful to see someone else insight on the approach to these adjustments.

Mesmerizing... I like how the straight building angles interact with the flowing cloud streaks.
Plus your horizontal lines are perfect. Did you have a backache getting this shot? :)

Great shot! Though I must say, where did you get your source about this place and what inspires you to shoot this? ;) :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

I pass by the area every morning. It's a truly beautiful place, especially after a night of cool weather as It gets quite foggy at times n adds a sense of mystery. There's few lone trees there to choose from too.
