Pretty childish eh?

Let me share something about Edutilos- before you continue to worship him. You may be thinking I'm a clone because I reply to you in this thread. But I don't care anyways.
Let's take a look at 1 of his recent works:

See anything interesting? They are exactly the same photos! This is just one of many examples I've seen in this thread. I can point out more if you ask me to. Spend more time looking at flickr to verify what I said.

It gives me impression that Edutilos- likes to lurk around other photographers' photostream and copycat exactly the same pictures. While nobody can stop him from doing that, I feel that he lacks of integrity as a photgrapher. Yes, you can reference others' photos for interesting locations, or having similar viewpoints. But copycat 100%? leaves me puzzled and shake head. How will you feel if you were the author?

I'm not debating with you. Just some thoughts.

When you call others childish, what about citing one photo out of 200+ and claim that "many" is copied? I just think, you give the same scene same angle, maybe even same camera and lens to another person, one may or may not replicate the feel which edutilos- or for the matter anyone else who made a successful shot had made. I find that when one questions another's integrity, it requires a lot justification and proper proving before jumping to such conclusion. I, for one, would be livid if one falsely questions my integrity.

Again, the ever-so-simple logic applies, if I look at edutilos- shots and tries the exact same angle blah blah, does that mean I can emulate the same mood, feel and emotion it evokes in another viewer?

first of all i dun worship edutilos- BUT i admire his works.

u are missing a point here.

edutilos- DID NOT go around boast of unique angles and accuse people of stealing his angles. DID HE?

But look at what Stefan did. That's the difference btw them two. For me I choose to side edutilos- not cos he is original but he simply just show his works without bashing people thread, sound logical?

Can whoever is still not happy please start another thread? The rest of us are here to see edutilos' photos. You've made your point, we get it, some agree/some don't. We would just like to get back to looking at nice pics.

Yes, agree. We are all here to enjoy edulito's photos. If you have a problem w him, go pm him. If your intention is to demean him publicly, I think you are not going to achieve that.

enough is enough..... before accusing others of "stealing composition", pls note that that there is no COPYRIGHT for landscape/cityscape photo compositions. anyone is free to take EXACTLY the same composition, angle, lighting whatever, as many times as they wish. if you have an issue with that, don't whine in someone else's gallery thread. if you can do better with a more original perspective...pls post your own photo and wow us all.

edutilos, I noticed of late your sunset is a bit blown both in terms of saturation and tone. Unlike your usual style where you kept everything under control...?

nice. I was referring to, say, #214. The orange saturation almost killed my eye... I noticed a few before, I thought they were aberrations in your otherwise perfect streak... Or maybe you changed your monitor settings lately (i.e. not calibrated)?
BTW, if convenient, I need to seek your advice on travels in UK. Will PM you. Thanks in advance.

hahaha... reminds me of 4 years ago when i first discovered the saturation slider in photoshop. I almost set an auto action to +30 for saturation all the time!!!

yah, it is not blown. somehow the orange seems very saturated. no lah, That's just me remembering my first step into digital darkroom, not referring to you or your pictures.
