Today I went to buy the Orionbounce....saw it hanging on the rack but without price tag. Thinking that the price should be as advertised, I approached a stern-looking young lady behind the cashier counter.....

I asked, "How much are you selling this?"

Stern-looking young lady answered, "15."

a bit confused:dunno: , I tried asking further, "..but I saw it advertised on clubsnap forum as $12?"

without hesitation, stern-looking young lady answered, "No, it is 15."

Not wanting to waste my trip there, I decide to purchase it despite the price discrepency.

IMHO:) , it is not very nice to advertise an item at one price and sell it at another price within a short span of 4 days. If it is a limited period special offer, then maybe it should be stated clearly.

:D caveat emptor.

Now you understand why I'd take my business elsewhere...

This has happened to me countless times.... What IS worng in wearing T-shirt and berms to East Gear? You'll probably answer, "It's Ok". I ask East Gear staff: "Is it OK?????" I walk into East Gear wearing T-shirt and shorts / berms (my work attire: I am a PE teacher) and I am totally ignored.........

There are numerous occassions which this has happened, the latest being on end July / beginning Aug this year (can't really remember the exact date), when I wanted to get extra CF card. I was standing patiently near the counter, and one staff was actually socialising with a customer without even blinking an eyelid to look at me. I was trying to look at his eye to catch his attention, but.... I'm not exactly small, you know...

Its not wrong to socialise with customers, but one must also keep an eye out for new / potential customers. I know some photo shop staff near the area really well, and when I'm at their shop, they will stop conversation with me and attend to potential customers.

By all means make the regulars happy... BUT attend to unfamilar faces too...

Now you know why I am pissed????? In the end, I bought my 2 pieces of CF card from Perfect Pixel Camera Parts. Get the drift??

You want another chance to serve me? Tell you what... You get it soon. I will be buying some items for my school, like cards, batteries and maybe even come portable storage for the AV club... Let's see how it works out this time...

Cheers...

Staff are also human. In your view you may feel that he's ignoring you, but he/she was probably too engrossed in providing good service to a regular customer.

If you had really required attention you could simply voiced out a simple "excuse me" to get their attention rather than just hoping to make eye-contact.

I believe that would be a more pro-active way of getting the service you require. Perhaps it would also save you some angst and unhappiness over the issue. This would apply to any shop I believe.

My 2 cents.:)

Hi Eastgear,
I am interested in the EastGear Neoprene Camera Strap $15.90

Is this your retail price or is this another one of those "Must wear Clubsnap t-shirt" price? If I am not wearing my CS t-shirt but just print out this thread and show to your staff can?

I find it troublesome sometimes to see some of your wonderful new products posted here, want to buy direct after work, but still must waste time and effort to go home to get a tshirt.

Yar, if can print out this page to show or give out nick when purchasing that will be easier. Actually i want to buy the CompactDrive PD7X @ $99, and i did went down to the shop but ended up couldnt buy as the condition stated that i must wear a clubsnap t-shirt. :(

Hi..

I bought my Konnoc Charger from East Gear.
ANd I have to say it is not a good experience.

I once have an event photography and I almost gut screwed up because of this charger.
I charged my flash batteries using the konnoc Charger and the LCD displayed the battery is fully charged. Happily bring the batteries along for the event shoot and when I start using it...it flash for a less than 5 shots and the battery seems to be draining.

The reason I say the charger is mostly probably at fault is because I never have this experience with other charger.

I began to have doubt on this charger - KONNOC <-- Zero quality made in China product.

This is my own personal experience. Take it as advise. But it almost cost me my job, so I am pretty upset about it. :nono:

Cheers

Same here.. the konnoc charger seem faulty.. charged 3 sets of batteries with it. Bring along shoot, all the 3 sets shows empty when shoot less than 10 shots. Luckily brought along 1 set of batteries which was charged with the original fujifilm charger. :dunno:

We understand your frustration. We hope that we can assist you to resolve the below mention matter.

If you have an issue with the Konnoc Charger, Please bring it back to us, one to one Exchange, no question ask.

If you're still not satisfied with the Konnoc Charger, you can opt for an Exchange of other Brands of Charger, Example: Sanyo, just top up the difference.

For info, most make of Charger Including Sanyo are Make in China.

For Record sake, one last question, What Brands of Batteries were you using when this happen?

If you need any more information, feel free to call or email us.

This is an arrangement with ClubSNAP to motivate more members to buy and wear the ClubSNAP Polo Shirt and help fund ClubSNAP Server.

If you have a ClubSNAP Polo Shirt, just bring it along in your bag, you don’t have to wear it if you’re working on that day, is it really so troublesome to assist in the funding of ClubSNAP Servers?

Hi,

Thank you, if you allow me to have a one to one exchange, that would be great and I would really really appreciate the effort. I just worried, it might give me the same problem again, maybe another more reliable brand would be better off.

The batteries I used are the KONNOC battery that comes with it and GP batteries and I doubt battery is the real problem because both screwed up for me.

FYI, I might have lost my receipt because I bought it abt a month back, I could bring it down tomorrow, if that is possible.

Cheers

No Problem, jus bring the Konnoc Charger and Batteries alone will be good.

Before we carry any Products, we run Stringent Test on it. We hope to get to the bottom of your above mention fault and get our Manufacture to improve on their QC.

My colleague who bought the same konnoc charger with me on the same day also had the same problem. He went down to change (Think last week or the week before) and the problem still persists.
I used both the Konnoc batteries as well as Sanyo 2300 Batteries. Don't think it is the batteries problem as now they are working fine on my fujifilm charger.
