D90 can take fireworks. I'm using one. But my shots are not very nice.

D90 isn't a bad camera. join more gatherings for more knowledge on the basic elements. and from there, i think you should be able to fly on your own.. experiences is what it takes

Almost any camera will do.. I'm using a 4 year old entry level DSLR..

Your camera is newer and semi-pro.. no problem..

You'll need tripod and remote shutter thou.. if the desired effects is the trails.

Whew,I have tripod. I'll bring it out just in case,but I'm might just join the talk only and skip the shoot at night.
