hi juz reporting in to chit chat... regarding the remote shutter release imho i think if your tripod is steady and you got a soft touch it shouldn't be a problem... btw anyone know which remote shutter release is gd for D90 as i wish to take photo in bulb mode....
Maybe you can look at phottix wired/wireless remote. Depends on your budget range. I'm currently using phottix plato for the wireless capability, so far so good
If just need wired capability, it can be quite cheap.random-pax

That depends on how hardcore is the photographer lor..
So far I use remote release only. The very hardcore ones will use remote release + MLU.
And yes, the mirror motion WILL affect the picture. Tried and tested. (Not for 4R picture size of coz..)
Just that too troublesome I don't want to use for fireworks.

All DSLR should be able to accept remote shutter release. There's a port for the trigger plug.. or whatever you call it.
It's a 2.5mm jack.. something like the 3.5mm audio plug that most are familiar with.

too bad my d90 didn't have the mirror up function anyway i guess i gotta eat grass to save up to buy the remote release :bsmilie:
D90 is quite an advanced camera.. I can't believe it doesn't have MLU..

yeah sadly unless u consider 'lock up mirror for cleaning' as that
U can buy the corded tigger that cost you the most $12 - $15
or wireless tigger that cost you $50 - $70.

Anyway, for your info.. "Custom Setting d10 - Exposure Delay Mode"
This flips the mirror 1 sec before shutter open.. Not useful if precision exposure is required.. but maybe better than nothing..
