that's a promising spot dude!

still remember the first time i went there, i missed the yolk.. instead, i got stuck there due to the pouring rain and luckily i had a disposable poncho in my bag.. it helps little though.. haha.. cause of the wind, i took quite a long period of time wearing that and it doesn't really cover all in that kinda weather and my shoe all got soaked. haha..

This is the place I wanna go after seeing those pics, cant wait to try 'em out myself :D

Very nice... But go for sunrise cfm need GND filters rite?

The very "ON" one will do multiple exposure and HDR process..

The "On" one will use GND..

The BoChap one will just photoshop..

You belong to which type? ;)

Any walking instructions to Tampines quarry?

Hardware limitation. The sensor doesn't have sufficient dynamic range represent all the light levels in different part of the frame.

The brighter region could be overexposed while the darker region is underexposed.

So it's necessary to exposure 1 for the highlights, and leave the shadow black, and expose 1 for the shadows, leaving the highlights blown. Then the 2 exposure is blended, so that details of the bright region and the dark region is retained.

It's not possible to get a well-exposed good Single Shot. Unless there is advancement in sensor technology which is not available presently.

Edit: I may have mis-interpreted your comment. Perhaps if you use a GND, ya, you may get a nice pic in 1 shot.

Yeah, that's what I meant. Coz I think there is a limit to how much ps can do if the pics are over or underexposed. So capturing it in a well-exposed shot is quite impt esp when sunrise coz it just gets brighter unlike sunsets...

Which... I can prob use a bit of sfoto's if he comes along since he has GND filter and we both same camera.... :D

Pasir Ris, first thing comes to my mind is Super Dog. Very happy ever since they had this branch and not just in ViVo only, then also E-Hub

Edit: Oh, too hungry to remember. Yes, welcome!

Ard how much ah? Anyway I'm quite a blur queen with filters coz I know nuts about using them. Haha.

To make best use of monies.. get the better filter, like the B&W one.. a good filter will serve you well..

getting a lousy filter then upgrade later is a waste of monies. filters, unlike electronics like camera, won't obsolete.

Using GND is one way. However, note that it will impose a restriction on the composition. i.e. the horizon will always have to be at the center or sthg like that.

Of coz.. you can crop later to your likings.
