the point is that the zuiko 40-150 goes for around $200 in B&S so it is kind of a no brainer to get the zuiko over the sigma. Cheaper and better quality.
R u sure? I don't think the 55-200 is that cheap in B&S. The reason why the 40-150 is cheap is because it comes with the twin lens kit and cost people only $200 to buy. so they don't mind selling it off at $200.
Ya lah, the sigma second hand probably cost like $160-170 odd due to the fact that the 40-150 goes for like $200. So it is A VERY BAD decision to buy the sigma 55-200 brand new as its resale price is very ver BAD. Around 50% of brand new price....
The price of the 55-200 is down due to the fact that it's 50mm extra is nothing compared to the quality of the 40-150. You can actually crop/"digital zoom" and get a better picture with the 40-150.
I think I asked the same question sometime back and finally settled for the 14-54. If I am not mistaken, the Sigma is slightly more expensive than the Zuiko 14-54.
