No, Ican change frame rate from normal to high, my firmware is 1.1.

Thats the beauty of the evf n tonal curve. U can adjust to your taste. There is no correct answer juz wat u prefer. I thk i wld go for your first choice but underexpose the temple by 1/3. But it really depends how much colour is in the sky n how much u need it.

I'm facing the same difficulty as well after upgrading the E-M5's firmware. Weird.

For some unknown reason my Built-in EVF Frame Rate setting (Custom menu J, item 5) is greyed out, i.e. I cannot change it from Standard (60Hz) to High (120Hz). Has anybody encountered this issue? By the way I have updated my E-M5's firmware to 1.1.

Even weirder: just now when I turned on the camera, the option is no longer greyed out. I can switch the frame rate again.

It's already in version 1.1 right out of the box....

may be you should check your olympus updater software,
download the latest version. I read many people have problem
updating the firmware using old olympus updater software.

under default button settings, push the fn2 button and then use dial to change the curve

i suppose you're right-- it boils down to personal preference. and also what is the main subject of the photo. in this case, i did indeed prefer to get the temple exposed correctly, if not a little bit under.

moving on, those who opted for the free 32gb card, did you get yours already?
the shop i bought my E-M5 from initially told me that they would call when i can pick up the card. but i called them now and they're telling me i should pick it up at Olympus? i'm a bit confused and pissed.
they couldn't even confirm with me where exactly to pick up the card, just said i should check the warranty card.

so is it at Olympus in Valley Point Tower along River Valley Rd.?

...damn...i change the setting...

I just find this, if you in SCP mode (P,A,S,M) pressing the up arrow will bring the speed/aperture/EV active but if you follow it by pressing the info button a little version of shadow and highlight curve will active, you can change the shadow by using the dial or arrow, to change it to highlight press info button once again now you can change the highlight...hope it helps you....

i always shoot in manual mode, pressin the direction buttons change my focus point...

Unfortunately no. Call me shallow but that's one of my biggest dilemma. I'm not sure to get the grip or otherwise.

I feel that silver body with grip+battery looks better in black. It'll be gaudy and too over-the-top if in silver.
