Misleading Advertisements

I was the first person at the counter followed by 5 persons after me. The first thing the promoter did was to show me the laminated print saying the advertised price is wrong. I told him the full ad was displayed at the entrance before 10am and I still assume the selling price is still $868. If they have displayed a notice before 10am indicating the price is wrongly printed, I can accept it and gone home. To me, that's pure cheating to get people to come and telling them the price have changed due to printing error. The manager, a Mr. Lee, finally agreed to take the particulars of the 6 of us and now we hope to hear from him. Called my son who is in the advertising industry explaining the situation, he says Best Denki should honour the offer otherwise report to the Advertising Board. He do come across such situations in his line of work and usually the retailer will just honour the deal and investigation will be followed to see who is responsible, the retailer, printer or advertising agency.

The excuse of SOLD OUT is pure nonsense.

SOLD OUT! What a liar they are! I was there around 12noon and I saw the promoter bringing out 1 set showing it to a customer who doesn't realise the price discrepancy! If you are willing to pay $1888 sure have stock! But SOLD OUT for $868 liao hahahaha. Let the Advertising Standard Authority of Singapore do the investigation!!! Good luck 'WORST' Denki.
