I'm not sure people took offense. Just that your remark seem to have missed the whole point and strengths of an E-M1.2Ok no prob.

Just for the sake of discussion.
I had a chance to try out Sony Alpha a7 II with a fixed lens, 50mm I think, in Sept'16 one hazy Sat. I was told it was a full frame (FF) sensor type. If you took the escalator down from their showroom, there was a spot when the daylight illuminated it.
I noticed when the shoppers walked into that spot only 1 or 2 people lit up. I took one shot in Auto mode and later switched to Manual, fixed the aperture and jack up the shuttle speed.
Eventually I managed to get those low key street photo where one person face very bright, the nearby people in the shadow. I did not even set spot metering.
Until then, I thought FF was good for night photography and easier to get bokeh effect. And I was wowed.
The Alpha a7 II not much bigger than EM1.
Hence I hope EM1 Mark III will come with a FF sensor then.

Not worshiping Sony cam -> in fact don't even have them.
Got a EM10 & EM5ii + a few lens from Oly. Just not happy that they can price the EM1ii so high.
OK ok, apologizes for being so native here. Ultimately already invested so much in M43.
But technically, what are the main diff comparing to Panasonic GX8 to warrant US$1K more?
FYI, not slang la: Olympus when I'm happy. When I'm angry (for examples, feeling like been treated as a carrot), it will become the other word![]()

a pro version of the sony a7 series prob will spot EM1ii specs... however the body px also prob will be in the range of the Leica Q's considering A7rii is close to 4k...

It remains to be seen how the AF perform with erratically moving subjects but for predictable but fast moving subjects, the EM1.2 appear to perform very well.If mk2 really can match the pro DSLR on the AF speed/accuracy on moving object (across & in/out of the frame) + still maintain AF performances at not idea light condition -> then the asking price is really justify.
This will be very critical for bird shooter and sport photography.
Else, the 300mm f4 pro lens and the new Pana 100-400mm Leica lens got no much use except to only shoot static objects.
I'm sure you're joking but it's not the size of the body but the size of the mount. m43 mount can't accommodate FF sensors. The Alpha a7 II not much bigger than EM1.
Hence I hope EM1 Mark III will come with a FF sensor then.

Have a look at Robin Wong's blog review, especially the MotoGP series. Here we have fast moving subject coming towards the frame shooting with a fast telephoto lens. One of the better demonstration of the new AF capabilities I've seen so far.
Absolutely. The AF tracking for the mk II will definitely be better but we just don't know exactly how much better just yet. Put it in the hands of an experienced sports or wildlife shooter and we'll get a better idea.I don't think its a question AF/Tracking capabilities are improved with the EM1 MK2, but just a weird thought all of a sudden how far tech has brought us and have our skills caught up with how far tech has moved.
