Heard its under $1.2k with 14-42 kit lens and a 2Gb CF (not sure what brand/model). CA and vignetting seem to be much improved compared to the 14-45.

The camera mounts ON the 14-50 from the L1 :bsmilie: Theres a small stack of stickies below the body without which the body just rock around the lens. The 14-50 is also larger in volume than the E-410.

Only five pieces at MS... they're gonna go quick...

Nah this is nothing, see the kopi session thread for the 410 with the 50-200mm fully extended....

I turned the body to mount and unmount the lens. :bsmilie:

The camera feels like an accessory to the lens.

You said it!

Balance is real good though, there was hardly noticeable handshake zoomed out to 200mm at 1/30s.

so..next time say" let fix this cam on this len";)

LOL... but this is probably already very true to those lucky buggers who already have the super-high-grade Zuikos.

The Low noise is due to the CMOS sensor. Most canon dslr uses CMOS and that is y the noise level are well controlled. CCD give more noise. except for the FUJIFILM... haha

BEEEEEP! Wrong.

CCDs actually generate LESS noise than MOS chips.

hmm in that case i have been recieving wrong info... Thanks for correcting me. Then what make the new E510 lesser noise???

Better noise reduction algorithms.

Primary reason why MOS chips are used in the E410/E510 is LiveView. CCDs heat up quickly and need very efficient (and expensive!) heat sinks for LiveView operation.

Nice! Reminds me of my OM-1n. I want!

MS Color received 5 pieces from Oly yesterday (1 already gone within 10min). They're going to run out fast. Cathay also have a few.

Let's say "more aggressive" noise reduction rather than better...better implies there's an improvement over other technology, which isn't the case...because CMOS is so noisy (anyone hasn't seen an image from a CMOS webcam) it needs a lot more noise reduction to make the image look decent.

drakon09 is right. CCDs really generate LESS noise than MOS chips. OT a bit... Most of the advanced military hardware that employed image sensors are mostly fitted with CCDs. From targeting pods to spy satellites. :)

Is there a 1 page summary that list down all thee characteristic and spec of olympus DSLR,, e1, e500s, e400s, e300s..?
