Dslr sling strap

matin NEOPRENE FAST ACCESS STRAP-2 camera body with durable quick release new | eBay

Happened to see this Matin.

The attachment is at the side of camera. Looks like this is fool proof?

I would go for the Optech if I were you.

Never heard of the Matin, but Optech is a respectable company... and the price is not really that high too actually cheaper than the Matin.

well whatever the case, i strongly recommend adding a fail-safe when using any Black Rapid type straps.

Here is a look at mine when I was still using BlackRapid.

Is the string strong enough if the BR fails?
Btw, I just bought the RS-7 from CP and attached it to my D7000 with photic grip. Haven't try out yet but it seems to get in the way of the vertical grip. For normal grip, it felt ok. Will try out tomorrow at an event I am volunteering to see how it feels.

Matin is a Korean company, if I'm not mistaken. It's a good brand.

Matin is a respectable company as well. It is a Korean company that manufactures camera accessories, also the owner of the Herringbone brand.

yes it is strong enough to break the fall. But not stong enough for sustained periods. But all you need is for the string to hold for less than a minute. You will know when your camera falls.

True. Very true. Is that like a mountaineering cord? Where did you get it?

Actually after reading on this Matin, it has Velcro strap together with the buckle, serves as safety feature in the event of buckle came loose

It is just some cord I found lying around... not a mountaineering cord...

Not abit........

Went to see some straps at funan.

I must say the C Design sling strap is good, quality much better than BR. But I haven't buy yet. $88.

I think BR is over priced, judging on the material and design.

I also saw the spider belt system. Anyone have any feedback? $94 for the whole kit, for light weight camera setup.

Sorry, it's Custom SLR sling strap, not C Design

I am using the Spider pro, which cost 180. The cheaper one is for light camera setups. awesome.
