When I use the CZ1680 to take close-up portraits, it REALLY shows up all the pores, pimples and imperfections on the model, and when you look at the pic, these seem even more apparent than they do in real life!
Set Sharpness: -2. :bsmilie:

but sometimes, too much of a good thing is also not good.

However, for really large group shots, it's great cos you can positively identify all the faces, even at the corners!

I will say, go ahead and get the A350. The price difference is not much when compared to the A300. I use mine for macro to take flowers predominantly. The resolution is stunning. I seldom use my kit lens (18-70mm), only when I need to take wide angle shots. Most of the time, I use my old minolta beercan series lens that I used to use with my 7xi.
Overall, A350 is a damn good camera if you can live with the somewhat restricted view in the viewfinder. Go get it man!!!![]()
anyone got yr a350 at computer show? plan to get mine at sitex coming next month, but is the additional freebies worth it normally?
Overall, I think getting the A350 at the camera is the same as getting it from Sony shop at list prices. If you check out some of the shops in Funan or Peninsula, you may get it cheaper than MSRP usually. At the computer show, usually extra memory cards, extended warranties, extra batteries may get throw in. So, considering the cost of these if you buy them separately, it is worth checking out.
I hope the so called A800 or A700 replacement will be a FF. Can't quite afford to upgrade to a A900 yet.![]()
Personally I dun think the "A800" would be FF, coz Sony have quite a number of APS-C lens... and A900 is generally price similar to D700 & 5DMarkII....![]()
Now I just hope SIGMA would catch up & lay out more FF lenses; my favourite 30mm f1.4 doesn't work on my A900, which got me ordering the SONY 35mm f1.4 G.

Maybe a later firmware update from Sony/Sigma would solve your issue...![]()
guys, i gotten my a350 with 18250 lens yesterday. happy.
but noticed there is a faint black speck through the liveview. cld not see through the ovf as ovf too small.
did some checks and realised its not the lcd. wiped the lens (both ends) and retried. speck still persists.
as still new to dslr and a350, only thing i have not done is to blow/clean the mirror and sensor. as a350 cannot lock mirror, cannot blow sensor direct.
any advice?
