I guess if you don't mind the hassle of changing and microwaving ur dessicant. You may want to get the lower cost dry box... :D

Get from carrefour is cheaper. I got chop at sim lim square. Also watch out for the watt. 30Litre use about 4w. Can hold up to 3 camera and 3 lens. Don't get too big if you don't have so many equipment yet.

Safe money, Safe Electricity and safe the world;)

Haha, is it the H*-* shop @ Lvl 1? Got a club snapper who's a newbie as well as not local, chop by them sometime back. They used parang to chop him big time.

need to change and mircro wave one ar. i dunno how dry box works. just know that dry-cabi (which is more expensive and usually bigger.) is you plug and on it to adjust the humidity and stuffs.

guys, you think if i get a 400d kit FIRST, no need drybox/cabi yet right? will be using quite often, then mayb if i get my 2nd lens then if got the funds, go for a drybox/cabi as i will not be using both lens all the time.

it's recommended to keep humidty at 40 to 50% right?

i read from the the instruction book say that best 55%-45% hehehe...

Preferably at 40 - 50%.

hi there,

im also a student. final year student though ;)

im also on low budget. I have a 400D and 2 lens so where do I keep them?

In a 'lock n lock' air tight box with a sachet of 'thirsty hippo'. so far so good.

Judging by how long the thirty hippo can last, im sure the humidity is kept really low

Be careful. Thirsty hippo might leak. I kena once when place in my cupboard. Hence, had to was my cloths.

Oic, hehe. Different brand, I'm using Digi Cabi.

Digicabio does come with an instruction "sheet".
It states the recommended range (45%-55%), and how to adjust the knob in the cabi for higher or lower RH, more like trial n error. (If you are not using the higher end series, the higher end series let you set the humidity value at the control panel )

Just to share:
I am using Digi Cabi DB-036 30L with digital Meter. Bought it for less than $100 IIRC few months ago. :)

Inside is 1 Pro-consumer and a few 50pcs spindle of TY DVD+Rs. :P
My Setting mading set at 42%, 29*C. :)
