Shucks... I guess I can only wait...

My Am-Pro 30L cabinet always stays between 40% to 50% after some tweaking long long ago... no problems now.

tweak the knob with ur stuff inside. once it stablise at around 40 to 50%... don't touch the knob anymore... also check whether it stays that way. if not, tweak again.

good luck! ;)

I'm now trying something real dumb but no harm trying, right??

I open the door for about 5 mins. Then set the dial to a little under 'H', like what Wolfgang recommended.

Idea is to let moisture in deliberately then allow the dry cab to settle down. Hopefully the RH can maintain at the desirable 45-55% region, yeah??

*Fingers crossed*

Guys,

It worked! Apparently, anyway... :)

Now it's hovering between 43-45%. Now using same method to raise it to 45-55%. Cool!

Good news, that. :)

Mine's at 47% or so. Hehehe.. quite silly right? 2 of us happily monitoring our hygrometer like the stock market indices... ;)

Errr...errr... guys, firstly, are you sure your hygrometer is accurate??

Erm.. how to calibrate or know if it's accurate or not?

Well, obviously get another hygrometer which is known to be accurate and test it out...

Right... Erm.. anyway to check if the hygrometer is working properly without buying a new one then? :dunno:

Erm, nope, the other extreme end of Sg actually... South.

S'okay.

Thanks for your offer. :)

Haha yeah Wolfie, kinda silly but what to do?? After I gave Nikon a $200 ang pow to get rid of the fungi in my F100 viewfinder, I decided to invest a little in a good dry cab. :dunno: :bheart:

YS, how much does a digital hygrometer cost? If it's not too ex, I may consider getting one. Anything to stop pumping money to Nikon SG...

SGD$35

That's quite reasonable. Next qn is how do I know if the digital hygro is more accurate than the analogue on on my dry cab.

And thanx Wolfie for letting me know the cost of a digital hygro. Any idea where to get it? :)

There's a way to test, but I forgot... :P
