dun believe? Watch old american cartoons, anything that represent chinese or japanese all slit like eyes... and talk with a funny accent... ;p
Ya, the eyes are unnatrual, but just as what Del says, they both serve the purpose of simulating the old poster style:embrass:
She has a good eye-sight, and she was not wearing any contact-lens at all. But her pupil is really a bit different in color which is in medium-tone brown.

Nice piece of work. Is her hair bunned up? Coz I can see like only the fringe area, would be nice if there's more of hair detail instead of it blending into the background. Nonetheless, that doesn't detract from the good work and its a nice change from the staple portraits seen all too often in CS.

However, it's always those in the second category that are most noisy in giving critiques.
Even though they only have experiences in playing kampong football..
No point trying to make them understand cos what happening beneath the surface of things are way out of their league.

yes, her hair was bunned up by simply using some clips for which i don't think it's delicate enuf. :embrass: Will improve the hairstyle during next shot.
Thank you for your understanding, actually i did received some good advice regarding to the details from those who don't really understand my concept, and their advice are sincere and helpful. Those i don't give credit to are the ones like to follow formulas without thinking about the photographs (yet without thinking the responsibilty of giving others wrong feedbacks)

Still cannot get over the green-ish color casting on her face.
Color cast is color cast, whether in 1930 or in 2007 (dun think they have color photography then, it was developed commercially in the late 40s, no?). no excuse.
The skin has the plastic hardness look upon it, mask out her face and apply gaussian blur. She looks like a mannequinn.
Other than that, I like the DoF and the elaborate setup. Must have alot of time on your hands if this is done for leisure.
