are these people who 'jumped' queue happier? i know many people who don't jump queue and are very happy and content indeed! who are the kind of people you surround yourself with, man?

also, some people work hard to earn the status of jumping queue, they deserved it. why so upset over it?

This thread has sparked off so many issues that i think an award should be given to the starter of this thread, or all that have contributed.

Having said that, my view is that if all of us live responsibly and morally, even the doctors, then we can hopefully carry on the human race. We can be wiped out by (each one of the following warrants and essay if not a book or 2):

diseases - look at SARS and potentially now bird flu, potentially can wipe out millions

global warming - the signs are there and consumerism does not help much, buying stuff and driving big or fast cars that burn more fuel so that we can be the envy of the street (this is an oversimplification)

Natural calamity - a huge volcanic eruption or a meteor from the skies can theoretically wipe us all out.

nuclear war - this one another long essay

I think what seperates us is the choices we make, we could think of just not our immediate need but the needs of the future, having said that, we are humans and we do have immediate needs and wants too.....

life is about choices, what decision you make when fate deals u a card....

just out of curiousity, TS... are you or your offsprings immunized against diseases like smallpox, measles, TB - the likes?

afterall, all these jabs prevent us from evolving into a species which will be naturally immune towards such diseases =P
