i think these pictures can be taken WITHOUT a d3; and saying that it has great chance of recovering mistakes .. i don't know what to say about that. you should check out adam burton's gallery, i remember he uses a non-d3 camera. loads of other great landscape photographers have not used d3 either.
but it's alright, if you have a d3 all yoru pictures will make people go WOW :bsmilie:
I was not referring to the landscape ones the dpreview forumer took. Those shots would NOT sell the idea to me. But any idea how you might be able to one good quality shot with lots of people walking in an otherwise high dynamic range scene where filters are non applicable?
I do not equate shadow recovery to recovering from mistakes.
