all your fault
:bsmilie:

tell me which L lens (or any canon lens for that matter) that wont give CA / fridgings wide open? if there's such a lens, i'll gladly buy it, regardless if it's red ring, blue ring, or green ring.

i guess it's all about buying the stuff you need. not buying for the sake of it. =)

If one only print 4Rs......then why get a DSLR........much less Ls........

precisely. some don't even print at all nowadays with digital!

Those who don't print then will want it in their best quality. These people tends to pixel peep.

Why is there a need to discuss this topic?
When you have tried using a L lens, you will not want to go back to non-L again ....:bsmilie:

Exactly  same sentiments... you will sell all your possessions, eat grass.. to get an L

...and once you use L you would not print 4R, because you'd be printing 4D at Singapore Pools counters.....

Haha true the first lens after my kit was a L now all my zooms are L's. The only non-L's that seem to be on par are the primes (35/2,50/1.4,100/2.8) :D

That is scary man! I have not owned any L yet after 1.5yrs of dSLR. The way you say it is like taking drugs... Err.. even 1dMkII shutter also spoilt !.. You are really a heavy duty user.

I use to think the same way, own many 3rd party and non L lens.....but since I own my first L? The whole dry cabinate changed to L's only......it was like a natural process. I had non-L lens that failed me twice when I was oversea(Screw drop out/AF spoil). Since then I cannot trust the non-L anymore. No that L-lens will never fail, but the chances of it failing comparing to non-L is alot lower!

hahaa. yes... have to buy.. no L no Lens.

Hey, the shutter died at 25K clicks is really something silly, just bad luck! (But good thing it did not fail at an important event). That is why Canon waved the express service charge ($200), and repair everything within a day!

I am just waiting for the day when you get infected! :bsmilie: It is like aids!

definately... it's addictive & worth the $$$!!!

come out of the dark with your L.... ;p

other than the better image quality, i would get L lenses for their far better superior performance and reliability. I have suffered greatly confined to the performance of my third party lenses. When you have the resources to do so, getting one is a worthy investment
