i recommend D3 bcoz of value for money and its still works, plus the price for second hand is way cheaper.... not that krig cant afford dont get me wrong, the money save can get other stuffs... and he can always get the D4 later on and go for a two body set up....

I know what you're getting at. But money saved for what, RRS ballhead, Gitzo tripod, more filters? Urm... I think I'll probably be hand-holding most of the time leh... Or the 200-400mm? It will take too much time to save up for that! :bsmilie:

Since you say, get the D4 later (it is only a matter of time)...then why not go for D4 in the first place leh? I think 1 to 2 grand difference only....

Amazing for a teenager!!... live YOUR DREAMS!!!!.. BUT be sure to have enough for a rainy day.. that is my thinking.. I think I did see a D3 second-hand in pennisula for $4K.. Akerue has a point there as second-hand D3 is friendlier on the pocket..

Rest assured, I can already go out and buy a D3S today... but I prefer not not, instead I rather save up for that (as a planned future) has I've done so for the bamboo...

No probs lah... as I've said... it's still too early to say anything for now... All I can do is to start saving...

Will see... maybe get the D3 or D3s(if price falls nicely after the launch of D4), then the excess go for 24-120 f/4 VR for people/event shoot...

Recent BnS, D3S has hit 6K and below...

It is not about the equipment bro... I did ask for opinions earlier. D3/D3s/D4 is all but a very fine line... of course differentiated by cost and other things...

Heck, if someone tells me D90 can do it easily without D300s / D3s... I'd do it already!

Whack can... but I didn't say immediately... so I need to save... Meanwhile, train using D90 to hone in the skills...

Most of you probably think I'm going into F1 because of the bamboo... Frankly, it is the opposite... I've wanted to shoot F1 since the very first night race! I wasn't ready then - just got my D90 mid this year remember? Jumping in too early without any experience? Better late than NEVER! :bsmilie: I've been drooling at the bamboo since I got my D90... skip all other zooms because... they can't get the job done....

Bro Akerue... have you heard about the LeMans races?... 24hour non-stoppers (REALLY sucky lightings)... I think D4 will do really well in that one...
