Your mind only limited to xmms isit? :bsmilie: No lah... sometimes during stage presentation, parents are ushered to sit all the way back (front rows normally reserved for dignitaries / special guess of honour, etc) ... cannot go front to photograph one... In that case, long reach - low light capability very important... enlightened?? :bsmilie: Without flash even more inconspicious... can only hear ka-chik ka-chik.. no bright lights to reveal shooter... lolz sniper mode...

I see the Pros using 70-200 for their Professional studio photo shoot .... Nikon systems ...
They dont use prime leh

They are probably using FX as well... for DX users, like DD123 mentioned, the FL is an overshoot liao...

These birds may not be free but they aren't friendly either. Only the lorries(parrakeet's) allow you to come this close.

Then you must say what gong gong bird you are shooting mah.

Yup, unless you're in a bird park where every 10 min walk you can get a drink... 100 gram lesser for 100 gram water is useful for me... You been to Sungei Buloh or not? The only drink you get are in the water bodies around you, coupled Malayan Lizard poo poos and shi-shis... :bsmilie:

Resting / fishing birds in the wild, not gong gong enough meh? I've seen a multi-coloured kingfisher prowling on the branches just waiting to for its prey down below... where my 70-200 X 2 should be more than capable in capturing that...

you didn't say the sungei buloh gong gong birds mah. Then your 200 reach is not enough. Get the TC20 for maximum reach. I chat up with a few who went to the Beginners Sungei Buloh outing and they say even with that reach, 200 with TC20 sometimes is not enough. 70-300 with TC20 for a max zoom of 600?
