dunno if my logic is screwed, but I thought a 10mm prime should be smaller and cheaper than a 10-24, for example.

but that one is f/1.4 mah...
and all that fancy coating.
But I agree with you. A lot of it is due to fat profit margin.
As long as there's a strong demand, they won't drop the price.

if u ever find out the factory cost to churn out one D3, than u will definitely get shocked at how much the mark-up is...:)
