Dishonest seller - how?

I met a dishonest seller who claimed condition 10 for his lens.

1. However upon checking, i found the rear element was cleaned with lens solution leaving very obivous white residue.

2. Worse still, fungus seems to be starting cos i found the rear element with circular shapes, looks like the coating is gone, leaving a circular non coating shape...

In his WTS post, he still putting condition 10 for his lens!!! :sweat:
What should i do?

a. report to CS moderator?
b. post in his thread he is dishonest?
c. other suggestions?

but you should check the lens carefully before handing over your $. did u call the seller about this?

Was it a 40-150 lens?

since he checked, i dun think he have bought... so i guess he just alarming other potential buyers... but if he went to wreck his deal, i think he would be deregistered... CS rule dunno which line, do not tekan ppl's B&S... :think:

Strange... how come when ppl sell a lens thats level 10 but write level 8, nobody praise him... :think:

thats not true...

in fm .. most sellers under-rate their lens in case of anything.

i always tell my buyers that from what i can see its perfect but if you get it and are not happy, i'll refund the money asap.

Did you approach the seller with these shortcomings? Did you attempt to reach a solution with him directly? It's kinda strange you never noticed such obvious defects when checking out the lens.

Found the method to use iTrader..... submited a -1 for him...
Just to clarify, I did not buy the lens since i found its condition not as stated.
Seems to me he is not aware of the lens condition at that point.

BUT
1. Surprised he was still using my name as potential bidder since the deal is off.
2. I have to post in WTS thread to remove my name myself!
3. Condition still put 10!

Buyers pls careful check when you're buying stuff from people to avoid unhappy situations...
