Didnt really see this coming. Good news I guess but why release this when the E-30 just came out? Not sure what their marketing strategy is.

The better view finder, 7-point focus sys, 4 fps continuous shooting and tilting LCD are good additions to Oly's entry level DSLR line up.

i guess as Hitman mentioned, the E620 will replace the E4xx and E5xx series. The E30 will be the semi-pro model w/o weather sealing and the E3 at the top of the line.

hopefully the E4xx no-grip body design will appear in the uFT products to be truly compact.

My gut feeling this e620 will be the best entry level dslr for yr 2009

Yes, I am excited with this announcement, been a long time coming... the annoying camera strap eyelets that is in the 'wrong' place (on the E420 body) is now in the 'right' place...

or maybe its introduction would mean a even better time to get a E520...
wonder in terms of IQ any diff between the E520 and E620....

Olympus E-620 500 shots BLS-1

I am quite disappointed when it say BLS-1 imo BLM 1 last much better then BLS1. E420 battery die ard or <500 shots!

Ya, I got 4 BLM-1 batts. Cannot reuse for this E620. Good cam though. Want to check out the size and weigh. Considering for backup.

for sure new sensor from e30 has no banding issue at iso800 as compare to e420 at iso400...
