[ Discuss ] What is the attraction of Sony A7 compare to m43?

What would be most interesting in this forum to discuss is whether we can get m4/3 lenses to work on A7 without having it too much in crop mode. Currently, if you use the E mount lenses on the A7, you only get a 10MP image but with AF. Of course, if you can get a m4/3 lens on the A7, it has to be at least 12 MP cropped in order for it to make any sense.

Awesome, I always dreamt of that. Currently I use my 3 Lomography Micro 4/3 primes on my Leica M240 but on an A7R I could get even more out of them in terms of IQ.

The trend is really moving towards brands once eschewed by people :)

Best Mirrorless awards to Olympus EM-1 and Sony A7r.
Best DSLR/SLT to Pentax K3.

I like this trend haha.

Obvious

• Your wide angle lenses remain wide angle without a 2x factor.
• You can use your legacy lenses with adapter - if you have a lot of high quality and costly glass. This is significant. In fact the MAJOR reason.
• The FE autofocus Zeiss lens range. Current 35mm F2.8 is very sharp. (side comment - Conorus will be out of business - who will bother to buy Contax N lenses, send, wait 1 year, pay hundreds or thousand-plus for conversion to use on Canon EOS digital SLRs. Nowadays and in future got autofocus Zeiss lenses in full frame Sony A7 / A7r)
• If you have autofocus Minolta lenses from legacy Maxxum range, you can use them with adapter Sony LA-EA4.

Downside
• No IBIS. Currently no FE IS lenses by Sony or Zeiss. Expensive if they make in future.
