Alamak. The silver model is more neutral when it comes to chrome or black. No worries if you buy the lens of either color.

The lens does extend a bit when using the longer focal lengths.

On the last post on this page, there's a video showing the AF speed, note that it's on GX1 though. Very fast! If picture speaks a 1000 words, video tells a story

Thanks for the advise. I went Harvey Norman Funan last night just to check if they got stock but still not sure if buying, and they have and they give me slightly better price $15xx, it's slightly more expensive than CP but CP has no stock, and almost every no stock. So I just grabbed and bought it. I think it's their last stock.

Had a chance to try the lens for less than 30mins. IMO sharpest at 2-3 stops down (this after I checked the pics I took when I got home).

Focusing speed is amazing amazing amzing ! Near silent in operation. Barrel construction is first class.

Nice purplish hue to the metal, aesthetically speaking, very pleasing.

Tempting, but not enuf for me to dump my 12 / 20 / 45
