Pocket PC scren res is 640x480 = 307200 pixels...

7D LCD = 207 000 pixels.... looks like the Pocket PC has higher res???

actually it also depends on the pixel per inch, like some monitors have 0.27 or something dot thingy... den some have clearer pics, some have blurer, even with the same PC with same resolution. So D7D have a more closely packed LCD, than the Pocket PC, and i felt that, Pocket PC's screen is not really good with displaying pics..
