Yes yes it is. For a newbie like me, I need to know the fundamentals of photography, do's and don't. And recently im on 'lens watch'. Not as if I have the money to buy them, I just keep my options open and really integrate on what I really wanna do in my photography.

Hence, the '20 Essential EF Lens' guidebook fairly shows the type of photos taken with each type of Canon lens. I just bought 550D recently. My first dslr, my baby. Soooo excited!!

in jb, they sell it in magazine shop @ city square and Giant pelangi leisure mall

i ve been reading it for some time now n never missed an issue. my frens also reads this mag... tought us lotsa stuff. its learning but in a fun way.

Definitely loving it. Its my 1st so I can't really compare with other dslrs. One thing I like is the size. Light and the functions, buttons are easy to use/access. Well, for starters, I think the 18-55mm kit lens will last u for quite sometime. Until u you know more about macro, wide angle and such. Well, don't want to deviate too long from the topic. If u need anything else, just PM me. I'll go in depth.

I bought it for the first time when they reviewed the D3S and EOS 1D Mark IV.
This is simple a great and cheap mag. At $6.50 it is really a nice deal

I bought the UK version, and paid S$14.50 for it, and NO Canon lens magazine!!! I am peeved!!! The content is really good. Now, I want to wait a bit lah...walau. RM9 versus S$14.50. Big difference.

Coincidently I just bought it one week ago, mainly also because I saw it is giving the lens booklet. Like other mentioned nothing compare to the Canon lens book but I still bought it for easy flipping through.

This is the first time I bought this mag, the content is pretty much mixed UK and local. I find that the printing and paper quality was not at the standards of those $14 plus UK magazine. But at $6.50 and RM9 is still a very good buy. :thumbsup:

used to buy in Shell station (aka 7-eleven) and Popular.. but now unable to find this...

I always get mine from the Magazine store at Holland Village, they have both the UK version & Malaysia version side by side, make sure you don't pick the wrong one and pay double the price. I always go for the local version if possible, including Top Gear, Autocar etc.
