Things like this can happen... Here is how I messed up :embrass:

As a first time seller at Clubsnap, I put up this lens that I was not using any more for sale. There was this cool buyer who offered me bellow what I was looking for. I informed him that his bid was noted already. Then another day later another gentelman offered $10 more. I noted that as well and informed him.

I kept waiting for few more days and no more bids. I thought thats what going to be the highest I could get (still much lesser than my BNP though)

I posted that, I will be closing the thread on saturday... At around 2350+++ I checked and still no more offers. I contacted the guy with the highest bid and agreed to meet up next day. At that point I logged in to the forum again and got a PM for the previous bidder who just made a bid for $1 more than the hightest just before 0000hrs! :o

I believe since I was the first time seller and had no idea that this could happen...

Now I could not say no to the one I already confirmed, politely told this fellow that I had just closed the deal with the highest bidder... He was obviously upset that how come I closed the deal without checking the thread.

Actually I checked but just few min before 0000hrs... That was my mistake and I apologised to the fellow clubsnapper for that. :embrass:

do you understand what an advertisment is?

Ayio.. please dun rub it in for TS.

I oso kena once... Sianz.. arrange to sell my camera to a undergraduate at the agreed price. But upon meet up, he says he didnt bring enuff money and ask me if can let it go at the amount he has on hand and he promised to pay me back the difference another day.

Collect my cam liao, call him oso never answer... Lucky amount difference wasn't a big sum
and didnt email him the guarantee form :(

The fact of the matter is that CS is a forum, not an auction platform. That's what ebay is for... so no sense in blaming yourself.

Now I just set as being highest offer received by a time, and I reserve the right to sell to who I like. And, in some instance I have sold to a slightly lower offer primarily because I think that guy is easier to deal with.

Not worth the stress to try and sell to someone for say, $10 more... and he sits there for 2 hours inspecting the lens and pointing out every speck of dust.

Also, I actually like to sell on ebay if I have the time. I find it less hassle... and on at least 2 occasions after cost I actually get less from selling on ebay ... but so much less stress. Just shoot, sell and ship.

Sorry to the younger forumers here... but I have also begun to realise that some of the younger forumers (i.e. students) are the least reliable.

More recently, I even find that when I sell thru ebay S'pore ... the buyers seem more serious about buying.

This guy i PM him and gave him my Hp No. Tell him i want to buy his camera just need to arrange a place to meet up for the deal. But today saw him closed the thread selling his A640 canon to someone else. So annoying;( to see that while i waited for him to call me because i call him on fri but he sms me on that day that he is working and will call me when he is free.

Why got such ppl...sell to someone else and promise me in the first place.

See no promises here to sell. Can see an offer to buy but do not see an acceptance of the offer. Bottom-line is that you do not even have a reasonable case at all.

In all fairness to Yoshima, I shall close this thread.
