Hi,

Posting this for a desperate friend:

The HDD out of his Epson P-2000 viewer has been damaged due to a fall (Epson has aleady replaced the HDD and given him back the old one as a gesture of goodwill).

The old HDD is a 40GB Hitachi and makes a clicking sound, does anyone know where he can recover the data? Possible to send it back to Hitachi itself?

There are >2000 images that needs to be saved........ Thanks for your help!

clicking sound... sound serious already... the internal might have damaged...

the hdd is oem from hitachi to epson, so there is no link from the owner of p2000 to hitachi, u can probably drop a email to their top management to ask if they can fix it, or u search online for ppl who can savage from physically damaged hdd... the cost is high thou...
