oh! I like shooting people hiding in the paper box... i do it for my paintings! But how much mean for 'pro fees' huh? = )

how bout this? http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=182559&page=6

as for location, it i was not wrong it's the japanese cemetery. But I suggest not to do photoshoot at cemetery / memorial place as there are few issues regarding that already. Personally I got nothing against that - just some consideration of what others may think.

personally, treat the topic/subject with sensitivity, respect and responsibility, that's number 1 consideration. what others think, secondary to what one wants to achieve, even if it means shooting in a cemetery.

my 3 cents (slowly upgrade from 2 cents)

Haahaa.. Maybe we can go there again for another session with a neat comb-back hair style to achieve the "hua yang nian hua" look .. haahaa... a couple shoot might be good so people won't think like I'm dancing with a invisible girl... lol..

just kidding la~ i'm not a model AT ALL. those who know me knows im seriously over-qualified to be one ( as in, tummy too big, brain too small)

but so far, i've been casted in roles like window cleaner (back view only), passerby (silhouette), office worker (close-up of eyes only) and karaoke lounge patron (ok, just being myself)

that's just goes to show the immense potential i possess. if you are willing to invest in my talent, i'll be flattered. (oh did i mention, someone wants to put a paper bag over my face and shoot me? u know who u are  )

:bsmilie: chao-ji OT!! minus 1 cent

no wonder everyday your nose grow longer and longer

zhang3feng > sorry for the OT. Actually me and stereobox somehow came across this series on this morning conversation and somehow we feel that you must have a concept to shoot a dancing man on a japanese cemetery. Perhaps it doesnt work for two of us ( stereobox, correct me if i'm wrong ) but Angel want to know the idea behind it =)

Well there's a few reason to it...

the commons ones which r unrelated to my ideas are:

1) Atmosphere & environment is beautiful & good for photography
2) Isolated place, no one to disturb or cause trouble when shooting
3) I always wanted to do a model shoot there
4) It's near to both model & photographer's place (stupid reason lol)
5) The japanese zen taste from the tombstones & temple makes u feel u r not in sg

Reasons related to my concept of shooting a dance theme in the japanese cemetery

1) The Ambience & Surrounding backdrop suit the model wearing the tailsuit. I find that it will blend the model in tailsuit with the background & surrounding better then any other location, which will make u ponder the link between the model & deceased within.

2) Pple goes to the cemetery to respect the dead in all kind of forms, flowers, talking, praying, chanting, cleaning the tomb... and i was thinking why not a dance? a dance with/for his lost ones, or maybe his lost memories, or past life stuffs... (this is getting out of point lol)

3) Trying to create a kind of similar or related "hua yang nian hua" mood from the latin dancing moves with the tailsuit on. (i think this point was a failure, lol) maybe need cheongsam dancer next time. heehee..

4) To create & try a different kinda of portfolio for the model & me. Always have to try new stuffs... but i know this is not new to many pros out there.. heehee.

5) lastly, to let pple bomdard & flame me! lol

hope all this reasons i gave answer ur question, maybe not so good la.. hehe..

this is very romantic actually  ( girl POV ) "The Last Dance" *drama mama mood ON* then after that he commit suicide to meet the love one

Personally I like this point a lot  it's good to be unpresent yet present.

z3f, if i may humbly state out, you know what i think seems to be the issue here?

there are simply too many things you want to say in your pictures all at the same time.

btw, if i ever see a man (or woman, for that matter) dancing alone in the cemetery, first of all, i'm going to go W T F ... :bsmilie: before i start to think about the romantic side of it =P (joke joke)

the idea is actually very beautiful (dancing as a form of remembrance) if well-executed (i'm confident you can do better, z3f)

mmm..the Macarena dance would be a good option...
