zhang3feng > sorry for the OT. Actually me and stereobox somehow came across this series on this morning conversation and somehow we feel that you must have a concept to shoot a dancing man on a japanese cemetery. Perhaps it doesnt work for two of us ( stereobox, correct me if i'm wrong ) but Angel want to know the idea behind it =)
Well there's a few reason to it...
the commons ones which r unrelated to my ideas are:
1) Atmosphere & environment is beautiful & good for photography
2) Isolated place, no one to disturb or cause trouble when shooting
3) I always wanted to do a model shoot there
4) It's near to both model & photographer's place (stupid reason lol)
5) The japanese zen taste from the tombstones & temple makes u feel u r not in sg
Reasons related to my concept of shooting a dance theme in the japanese cemetery
1) The Ambience & Surrounding backdrop suit the model wearing the tailsuit. I find that it will blend the model in tailsuit with the background & surrounding better then any other location, which will make u ponder the link between the model & deceased within.
2) Pple goes to the cemetery to respect the dead in all kind of forms, flowers, talking, praying, chanting, cleaning the tomb... and i was thinking why not a dance? a dance with/for his lost ones, or maybe his lost memories, or past life stuffs... (this is getting out of point lol)
3) Trying to create a kind of similar or related "hua yang nian hua" mood from the latin dancing moves with the tailsuit on. (i think this point was a failure, lol) maybe need cheongsam dancer next time. heehee..
4) To create & try a different kinda of portfolio for the model & me. Always have to try new stuffs... but i know this is not new to many pros out there.. heehee.
5) lastly, to let pple bomdard & flame me! lol
hope all this reasons i gave answer ur question, maybe not so good la.. hehe..
