DA*55/1.4 vs FA 77/1.8 vs DA 70/2.4

I almost got it....
get one..i think will be great companion for fa43 :p and the 50-135 will not interlink with 77limited to me as it is good but the 77's weight and size still make it more convenient to me to bring out

Well, sometimes your camera and lens might need to go through some extreme conditions like this:

A WR les would definitely match a WR camera body better :)

Kekekeke :)

Congrats on the new lens!
You won't regret it.
Personally I find this lens is much easier to use on aps-c than 85mm focal length due to short distance to subject.
Very sharp and very nice drawing of the subject in some situations.

Yup, and it compliment my 35/2.4 very well. Think just need to bring out my 35/2.4 and this lens for my normal walkabout. That is until i saved enough for a 31/1.8 ;)

I guess I'm the only guy who traded his fa 77mm for the da 70mm (plus another lens)?

Did I regret it? Not one bit. Love the da 70mm, I find the fa 77mm a bit too long for me. Did I miss the f/1,8 ? No, even on the 77mm I kept my max to f/2,8. For some reason I can't seem to click with the 77mm like I did with the 70mm.

Easiest I can describe those 2 is that the 77mm is watercolor and the 70mm is acrylic paint. Nothing wrong with either one, just a matter of preferences in the medium I use.

Though I would really love to add the da* 55mm to my bag but the da* 50-135mm looks interesting as well.

Well, I guess everyone would love to have this lens in their bags somedays ;)

i quite sure you are not the only one..in fact i tried the DA70 over the weekend and i was very impressed with the IQ...that said, i will still keep my FA77 as long as i still shoot film...but meanwhile, if there is a chance, i might just get DA70 and keep it alongside with my FA77

You really need to give our DA* lenses a try before you jump for a Sigma ;)

It's not about the lens... It's about the "Frank's poison"... Hahaha!!
Must.....re....sist......!! :P
