I'd go for a brand new set nevertheless. 10 bucks more than a used set, with a 1 year warranty? No offense, but it defeats logic to get a 2nd at 320 +-... (to me that is)

Ya. New 35/1.8 selling at $326 at SLRR. And I see people selling used out of warranty ones for 330-350...

It has always been cheap. Just that the sellers are selling them ex...

There was a time when the 35/1.8 was selling for close to 400 at one time. But that was when it was just released and people are all crazily buying it up.

I am not even going to tell you how much I got it for overseas. Wait your heart... :bheart::bheart:

Laddie, look at it from another perspective... if you're going to China JUST for the purpose of buying the lens - then 326 or 330 for that matter isn't that big a deal... Do remember that you have to factor in the cost of getting there and not to mention time spent...

But of course if you're enroute to China in the near future and pretty near the shops, then it is better to wait! Or if you're planning on a sight-seeing trip there that is... Or tompang with someone who's going there and knows how to check the lenses for you...

But don't put the responsibility on your mom for a good conditioned lens okay? Buying lens is not the same as buying stuffs that does not require close scrutiny - what if shop decided to pull a fast one on a unaware / inexperienced shopper? One should never put the unnecessary pressure on others. I'm not saying you'll get a lemon, but if things to go wrong (knock on wood/touch wood) be prepared for the consequences. Bu shi yao wo jiao ni zhe meh zhuo ren bah? :bsmilie::bsmilie:

For example, would you get your mom to help you buy a lens if she happens to go Lucky Plaza or SLS?? End of story right? lol

But if you really have to, remember to get her to change the warranty to international type (maybe extra cost) or else is as good as buying a second hand lens (no warranty)... Also, make sure not grey lens... See the hassle? Lolz

To buy camera equipment, she has to travel from macau to HK via ferry and go to Mongkok. Or she walk into Zhuhai then take bus to Shenzhen or Guangzhou.

Will be too troublesome.
