It's gonna be a dark nite.........................................:bsmilie: :bsmilie:
I agree with ZeroCoolAstra.. ^^not all will turn up
trust me on that one...
we chop too much space then those who really need to go there eat dinner one no space to eat, sure blame us if end up not everybody turn up.hahahaha should be ok la. Not fair to 'chope' so many seats, just in case they're crowded, then all the angry faces...
It should not be crowded that evening. I reckon it'll be easy to just grab extra seats should the need arise.
Anyway I'll explain to the person when I make the booking.
* used to be that average attendance for outings was about 50-70% of those that signed up. I remember one mass outing of 50+ people in City Hall area a year or 2 back. Only 20+ turned up I heard...
Newbies Outings has been luckier... usually about 3-4 drop out from the original list of 25+.

firstly do u really need f/1.4? and will the extra 5mm wider makes a diff?
as for image quality wise, u gotta google to find out more...

Yup. Depends on your budet. Nikon 35mm can get for abt 320 or so 2nd hand

Yes, 5mm makes a difference. and F1.4 makes a difference too.
The thing is, 30mm on a DX will beceom 45mm FOV, which is much closer to human's real FOV of around 42mm.
35mm on DX is more like 53mm FOV. More like a 50mm lens on FF.
On top of that, Sigma's 30/1.4 is famous for its silkly bokeh.
re: D90 outing on 11 Aug
If anyone has an SB800 or SB900, do bring it along.
We can try a group shot with master and slave flashes.
I will happily explain some simple night portrait tips if anyone is struggling... but beware, I'm no expert. My technique may be too simplistic, but for me I'm happy.
