The clear indication should "Nikon Singapore" somewhere in the warranty card, bottom line is Nikon will only honor the warranty for bodies bought in your own country (not parallel import).

Brand new? Thread starter should be ethincal enuff to state so if its a grey..
"No warranty as bought overseas" etc.. :)

~gentle reminder~

No discussion of pricing in this thread.

Thank you.

is nikon d90 comparable to canon 50d ?

the simple answer is "yes" cos in quite a lot of function an features they r similar and it was between this 2 DSLR that i was chosing b4 i got my D90, but then if really go into details, it would be "no" cos the canon 50D is targetted at semi-pro level and have certain features like weather seal, faster fps, whereas the D90 is a prosumer DSLR

You will be amazed what kind of "weather sealing" the 50D has.

http://web.canon.jp/imaging/eosd/eos50d/03.html
Resistance to dust and water has been enhanced through the use of sealing material around openings for the battery compartment and memory card slot (red).

Only at the battery compartment and memory card doors. No gaskets anywhere else. Not around the buttons, lens mounts... etc.. Makes you all confident to bring it into moderate or heavy rain. LOL.

i would think AF-S is a better choice because if i rem u don't get 3d matrix metering with nikkor AF lenses for d90 (:

btw... why not AF-D? it is definitely much cheaper

Think the distinguishing deciding factor is the 9 blade diaphragm AFS that render more pleasing bokeh but on the contrary AF slower than its D counterpart..

Hello D90ers! :) I have been using my D80 and SB800 for a few years now and I love it just got my D90 body and SB-900 Speedlight on the weekend when the switch is turned on the SB900 and also when zooming in or out. It seems very loud to me, anyone experienced this?:dunno:

Its the same on the SB600 and SB800 too. Are you testing this zoom feature in a quiet room? If yes, of course it will sound "loud". When you're using it on the ground, you won't notice the it amidst the ambience sounds. No worries!

Hi guys, anyone can enlighten me what difference does it makes when we select "raw+fine" and taking individual "raw" or "fine", apart of being able to take both quality at the same time?
