errr haaa like those events where u suddenly no need flash and need flash again =D ok la no need so hot i'm sry... =X i tot maybe gt setting on d90.. well does sb600 does something like that?
SB600 is also a power button which you have to press and hold down for at least 1-2 seconds.
SB900, I notice, is a rotating switch. Should be slightly faster to switch on/off.

Yup, correct on SB900. A flick just turns it off.

Can you guys tell me what u like about D90?
For me #1, the feel when I grap it. #2 Given the price and quality, I am more than happy.=)

D90 to me looks nice . . .

other than the above..

its also the firmware does not need to upgrade, it has been the only camera which i think has better built and the weight is suitable for me since i dun like it to be too light.

I like the fact that I can now program the 'Fn' button to do what I want it to do! :)

I like the fact tt it feels good, buttons easily accessed, easy to use and the fact tt it's BLACK! :bsmilie:

But sometimes find it a bit too light. Not so easy to be shake free when taking shots hand held.;p

metal plate onto the tripod mount... does the trick. Brings the center of gravity down as well.... 2 in 1 benefit...

or you could try using the mb-d80 batt grip. there are pros and cons, of course, but it works for me ;)

sorry off track abit.

Slave Digital means the camera must fire the flash in order to trigger the flashgun.

Wireless TTL synchronizes to the camera, no flash is needed from the camera, once the shutter button is pressed, it will auto trigger then flash.

correct me if im wrong thanks.

"slave digital" meaning? is that a brand?

for a slave flash off-cam to trigger, there must be a signal sent from the camera to the remote flash. some use cords (connect from camera to flash), infrared (the D90's pop-up uses nikon's CLS technology which uses IR "pulses" to trigger the flash sensors) or radio waves (pocketwizards, etc, attach a transmitter to camera's hotshoe and a receiver to the flash's hotshoe).

hope this helps

its not a brand. just take it as slave ba.

so D90 can do IR to trigger the flashgun without firing the pop-up flash? how to check if the flashgun got such feature?

so to trigger the flashgun off camera it can be done wireless via IR/transmitter or cord or by firing a pre-flash from the pop-up flash?

a quick qn...

does any1 knw how much is the batt cost(en-el3e) orig?
where to get the best deal?

thanx

For me, the most important criteria is that pictures captured are very close to what I see with my eyes, due to the excellent dynamic range & superb color rendition (that is Nikon). Had used higher range & also different brand cameras but did not satisfy like the D90 :)

check the price guide...
it's there for a reason

the price guide sometimes kinda outdated one leh.

the reputed shops are listed...all it takes is a call to check...
still, the price don't really change tat much...
