Hey bro, where did you get yours?
I think there are more 3rd party options than just Nissin. I remember reading somewhere on CS about some Metz flashes also having full compatibility with Nikon's flash system.Regarding the 3rd party flashes right, only the nissin di866 can be used with the Auto FP function of the D90 right? I have tried the Sb900 on my D90 with auto fp and it was so awesome.
DX still can be used on FX lah!... Just that there will be serious vignetting issues... but FX bodies should be able to step down their sensor to utilitise the DX lens (low MP will be used). So, it is not "CANNOT" but more like "pointless" since you'll sacrifice MPs to avoid Vignetting issues... The power of F mounts, you decided what you want to do with the lenses...Hence it is a recommendation that you should get FX lenses for FX bodies to fully unleash the former's potentials...with a DX lens, you'll get nice black solid circular border surrounding the image, useless of not, depends on how you view it... lolz
i'm not sure.. i never read though.. it happens quite recently when i was shooting half way when the battery indicates low batt. luckily i still haf backup battery or else i'm like a sitting duck..
Hi all,
Thinking of getting a 50mm for my D90. Considering the nikkor 50mm f/1.8d. Need to ask some questions:
1. I saw on the nikon website that the nikkor 50mm f/1.8d is placed under the FX format section. The D90 is DX format, so will the lens still fit/work?
2. Can anyone give me a sensing on what kind of price I should be looking at? I am purchasing brand new.
Thank you in advance.![]()

"Auto FP is the function that allows flash sync to operate at speeds above 1/200"I think there are more 3rd party options than just Nissin. I remember reading somewhere on CS about some Metz flashes also having full compatibility with Nikon's flash system.
if shooting in bright conditions and still require fill-flash (eg. outdoor portraits), you might need a very high shutter speed so that you can still use your expensive lens(es) at large aperture (shallow DOF)."Auto FP is the function that allows flash sync to operate at speeds above 1/200"
chim sia. under what kind of situation will you use it? the lower version of Nissin's flashgun cant do? ie Di622
you went to change the battery with NSC? covered under warranty?hey bro, i also got this prob.

errr... I think it should be under the specs. I'm not a true-blue flashy, so I'm not so knowledgeable in this area.ok i aga aga get it.. :bsmilie: :bsmilie:
but how do you check if the flash can do Auto FP?
so its something wrong with the camera body?i didnt change my battery.
thanks, you have been very helpful!errr... I think it should be under the specs. I'm not a true-blue flashy, so I'm not so knowledgeable in this area.
So far my SB600 has allowed me to shoot at faster than 1/200s, so I think I'm safe![]()
You can enquire on pricing lor...After cleaning my viewfinder with a cottonbud, I found some scratches in my viewfinder glass. Do you guys think it's necessary to change the viewfinder?
Right now, my D90 is at NSC for some repairs. If it's not too expensive, I might as well ask them to install a new one for me.
Any advise?
