hmm.. what sort of performance are you expecting from a flash light? In this way, its easier for me to tell you.

what's the recycling rate at full power? and the ttl function is pretty accurate right?

Recycle Time : 0.1-5.5 sec. (Alkaline, NiMH)
Full Charge battery the recycle time would be almost immediate but recycle time starts to increase as the battery life goes down.

TTL function is quite accurate.

not sure about DI 622. I believe the issue is not a big problem if you know your way around unless its a issue that is very irritating then I will have to look at other product..

Usually when people do strobist stuff, they usually do not use apertures too wide. ;)

yap.. I have my own DIY reflectors.. speedlites I think for the moment not necessary.. I'm still in the process of trying out day time shoot.. nite time outdoor not yet. In door more or else roughly I know what to do. May not be doing the right way but at least I'm still happy with the results that I'm achieving..

I'm still a stranger to the world of flash photography. haha. not time to buy a flash yet anyway.

well.. you are still into the area of landscape.. then flash thingy keep it one side until you are interested or keen in this area. If not your build in flash still manageable for normal group shot even though its not that super great..

I still think having some flash photography knowledge is still good to know..

Agree. Tt's why I'm not really thinking about getting a flash at the moment. So when is the next outing? Or you guys want to wait for ZCA to be back?

cool bro, to me when come to lighting, its all abt our own feel, the basics are guidelines but the end results is our "feel". :) who knows we might have our noob strobist outing soon...

Guys, I just ran through the youtube on the DIY diffuser on our build-in flash. Did anyone tried that out on your D90?
