Guys, I just ran through the youtube on the DIY diffuser on our build-in flash. Did anyone tried that out on your D90?

Haha, failed badly wasted my 1 hour on it. Nope, something like a cow bell but in rectangular shape with a cloth in front.

i tried wrapping e pop up falsh wif tissue.. like no use..hahah!!

how do you strobe with a single flash? i find it rather hard to do so. probably because i would often reach for my second flash while using a flash.

First lesson in strobing is always to learn how to setup a single light(flash).

why don't you consider a Sigma 24/1.8 instead??

Quite big. more than double the price of the 35/1.8.

But 24mm on crop becomes a 35mm, a wide normal lens. Perspective and everything changes and it is a very useful focal length. And the Sigma is also a FF lens, so when you upgrade to FX, you can still use this lens, and it will become a wide prime, and becore even more useful...

Wide primes are never cheap. Just look at Nikon 24/1.4 and Canon 24/1.4.
