Hi, can any1 tell me whether D90 support nikon manual lenses not? I hv lot of manual lens...
nice, perhaps one day, we cld meet up and try it together, thats wld be nice, thanks for sharing the info my fren, heheheheWell....if i'm not wrong... the shot I've posted earlier was taken with it... I wished I remembered the EV setting... I know I used 3... second was 0 EV and last was +1 EV... First one.. not sure it was -1 or -0.3mm...
Needs more experiementations, peeps... But I think it helps in keep the dynamic range up a bit...
yes shld be correct, u lose metering function on ais lenses if on the d90...You have to state which lens... If I'm not wrong AIS lenses, you can't meter...

I've seen that lens... I've held it in my hands, but not mounted to shoot ;pDid you test it out with AIS 50mm f/1.2? ;p WIDE OPEN aperture... yum....
at the last D90 outing, someone was asking about tilt-shift lenses and how they worked...
Well, I found a fairly concise explanation about the shifting part HERE.
Tilt is generally used to manipulate depth of field. For archi photography, it's not used if I'm not mistaken.

If you mean can mount and shoot, then yes... a lot of the old manual lenses are still use-able with the D90.
But for a lot of them, you have no metering function, so it's a bit of hit and miss with regards to exposure.
But with instant feedback and histogram, should be quite ok la. I would be confident to get a decent shot within 4 or 5 attempts.
edit: You have A LOT of old lenses??? ;p
maybe you should come out and join us next time... let us try-try the lenses to see if they work or not.

I didn't noe there is such a thing that can attached to the camera.
Hmm.. isn't that troublesome?
ask Kit whether troublesome... wait he test whether your head harder or his gearhead harder :bsmilie:I didn't noe there is such a thing that can attached to the camera.

My manual lenses as below:-
Nikkor D 135mm/F2.8
Nikkor D 50mm/1.4
Nikkor D 105mm/F2.8
Nikkor 20mm/F3.5
Nikon ED 70-180mm/F4.5-5.6
Micro Nikkor 200mm/F4 ED IF
Ziess for Nikon 60mm/2.8
Yealor,...that's what I thought too... I think those are AF-D lenses which D90 has NO problem with...
200mm Micro somore... that's a killer Micro lense if I'm not wrong ED and IF?
