BBB :devil:

* but I am intrigued by the Di866.... it seems to have almost as much functionality as the SB900, but at a fraction of the price...

from THIS website:

Dynamic Area AF employs all of the autofocus points, though you can still manually select the main point. When Dynamic Area focusing is enabled, the camera first focuses on the subject in the primary focus area. When the subject moves to a different AF area, the camera shifts the focus to "follow" the subject. This is great for irregularly moving subjects.

but then hor... if I select AF-S (focus priority), it doesn't "follow" the subject.... confusing.

i thought AF-C is used when the camera shifting to follow a moving subject? does this mean that it has to be used in relation with dynamic area AF?

I have Di866. I can let you try if you wan :devil:

poison poison poison!

yes yes of course..

its cheaper than SB900 by more than half. Slightly more powerful than SB 900. Function the same as SB900 in all ways.

The slight draw back is, after a number of shots. Its recycle time will be a little longer. Maybe 1 sec more. Other than that, I am quite happy with it. So far no problem with it. :devil:

hotshoe bro!!!!:bsmilie::bsmilie:

I think it's quite okay. If contact point got communication issues then you use what flash also will have. But some people may prefer speedlights as compared to 3rd party flashes

erm. other than the price I'm not tt sure. depends on which you're comparing to. What I meant was tt some people might prefer using equipment manufactured by the company even though they know 3rd party can save quite a bit.
