Bro, less la. 1200 USD RRP.. so around 1600 RRP SGD. After the initial high demand peak, will settle to round 1400 for body... just like D90 old pricing..

So tempted... but I am going to wait... For the D300s replacement...

But the feature set... very bold move Nikon is taking.... pretty much killed everyone else in this price range... Makes me so happy inside thinking of what they will do for Dxxx series...

I think it will come next year this same time...with D700's replacement...

If D300s replacement goes FX next year... then very high chance.... D7000's replacement will be FX in two years time.... Muahahahaha!:devil:

I don't care how they name the series... Eventually FX will be made affordable to Mid-class DSLERs like us... I'm just counting down the days...

But damn... D7000 sure looks tempting leh.... Everything I'm hoping for from a D300s has trickled down into that juicy black contraption... :sweat:

Depends. If you buy it new in HK it only cost around $770 SGD. Maybe is HK set? btw HK set gets 1 year international warranty I think. Local is 2 years I think...

Samyang made a big hoohah when they released 85mm f/1.4 manual focus lens I believe... pretty sharpie... Sooo... they are now going for the 35mm Focal length... probably MF as well... but price would be more affordable (obviously...since only MF)...

Other than 12 more AF points and 6 more crosshairs... more FPS (2 frames extra).... urm... the rest quite negligible differences.... Frankly, my jaw practically floored when they say it can meter with AI-S lenses (something that I felt was sorely lacking with D90), that was the last bastion of my anti-virus wall.... All came crumbling down...

The last thing is... I wonder if the battery pack... if using rechargeable AAs.... can boost the FPS as well... like D300s.... Hmmmmmm.....

One of the local Mass Sellers did bring them in I believe - go look around there. There should be at least a number of users here. I recalled seeing a number of CSers wondering where to get them - some would most likely have their hands on one. You might wanna try asking in the "other brand" discussion forum?
