Grey sets? No, it is black. Haha.. probably parallel imported sets. Techno Gadgets is offering $3289 but one has to pay first and wait for delivery. Some second hand sellers are asking around $3200 but I rather buy a new one at $3300 and take the shop warranty. I have bought other items from Joy's Electronics and they do honour the warranty claim. I did need to sent my Sigma lens for repair and it was done to my satisfaction. These shops have been around for a while, so they are not fly by night or managed by Jover Chew.

I would avoid Joy's like the plague. Just do a simple search on Joy's.

Can we expect reductions here very very soon ?

me too, I'm still happy with my D3 since I don't crop photo thus 12mp is enough for me when I print 13x19 photo only.
Will be more interested to see what new mega-pixel camera Nikon will release to fight with Canon.

I find the RAW performance of the D810 very similar to the D800, even in the high iso noise department. The two major improvements I see in the D810 are the AF module, and the more consistent wb. I am holding on to my E.

Actually I like the grip of the D810... this is a major selling point for me... although I not got yet.

They been around a while.... and appointed Nikon Dealer... You may also see TK Foto or Cathay Photo.

You should decide who you prefer to deal with after speaking to them.

Hi Club Snap! I love this forum, every time I plan a trip to Singapore, this is the first place I check to see what is happening in your amazing city!

I'm planning on moving from my 5d3's to Nikon - and planning on going with the Nikon 810. Where I live, the price is 90% more expensive for a D810! I'm hoping to fly into your lovely city to buy 2 x D810 bodies and some lenses in the first week of may.

My question is this:

If I plan on paying SG$3,300 for each body, would it be easy for me to fly in and just go to one of the reputable shops to purchase a unit? (TK, Cathay, Camera Workshop etc). I would be buying it for half price which means I get an entire Camera for free!

Yes, it would be easy. Just take a cab to Funan. Go to level 2. TK is right there. have fun. remember to ask for gst refund reciept.

I'll fetch you take you to TK Foto, intro you to the staff and I'll also I'll give you $1500 for that free camera then ! Then drop you back at airport.
