D810 - OFFICIAL THREAD

Hmm can't remember tbh but you can zoom out all the way to show thumbnails like the D600

Yes you can zoom all the way to the smallest thumbnail of 9 per row, and select the individuals to delete, but for D600 you can further zoom to the date of shooting, and delete the whole event, without affecting other dates.

bought glass protector few days ago.
This one was made for D800/e.
d810 back / top screen also has the same size as later ...

Nikon D810 firmware C:1.02 - https://support.nikonusa.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/19315

* When playback zoom was applied to an image displayed in the camera monitor (image display enlarged) while the memory card access lamp was still lit immediately after capture, the image was not correctly displayed. This issue has been resolved.
* When menus were displayed with the camera connected to a 4K-compatible TV via HDMI, display in both the camera monitor and on the TV was not correct. This issue has been resolved.
* Noise that could sometimes be heard when Custom Setting d1: Beep was set to any option other than Off has been reduced.

I keep getting the first bug when I'm shooting my legos at home and couldn't figure out why. (I do a shoot, and quickly zoom in to 100% to check if its pixel sharp.. but the writing buffer is still flushing and the screen has a weird mish-mash.. i got around it by just using the thumb scroller to jump to previous pic, and back to this..) I couldn't figure how to google for this 'bug' and just left it as it is never bugged me for day to day shooting. Good to see its fixed.

Was thinking of upgrading my d800 to d810. Any bro here have also upgrade from d800 and can share their new experience.
Also going to Hk in a few day time. Read that camera are cheaper there and do not mind export set. Is it good idea to buy from HK?

Nikon digital bodies are not international warranty (vs their lens which have international warranty). Having said that I bought a new grey D600 from Hong Kong just before the D610 was out for SGD1600.. a bargain in my opinion. As long as everything inside is original, good price and you test everything properly. It should be safe. (Do check for the black dot on the tripod mount to ensure your D810 has been checked for the long exposure issue that happened to the first batch)

Thank you for the advise on the thermal issue. I have checked local store price now is 3.8k while 1 HK shop quoted me 800 cheaper. Most likely will be getting it there.

cos i paid $3850 about 4 months ago, just wonder the price out there still in the range of S$3.8k.

SGD3650 cash price and SGD3800 credit card price as of 29 Dec.

Artworkfoto offering $3350 and Joy's Electronics offering $3300 at Funan currently. Both with store's warranty and cash payment.

Grey sets? No, it is black. Haha.. probably parallel imported sets. Techno Gadgets is offering $3289 but one has to pay first and wait for delivery. Some second hand sellers are asking around $3200 but I rather buy a new one at $3300 and take the shop warranty. I have bought other items from Joy's Electronics and they do honour the warranty claim. I did need to sent my Sigma lens for repair and it was done to my satisfaction. These shops have been around for a while, so they are not fly by night or managed by Jover Chew.

Anyone tried lightroom tethering with this yet? Hows the download speed and does it support USB3 yet?

Quite impressed with the 16-35vr.

steady handheld with 1 second explosure.
