D810 - OFFICIAL THREAD

Can someone advised why I can't format both my sd and cf cards on the D810? When I select Yes, it's highlighted in red and does not respond.

Check whether your cards are in the locked position.

Can someone kindly try if it is possible to re-assign the video record button to ISO?

Much like D800/D800e with latest firmware..thx

Yes. I do that as I keep my left hand on lens focus. Right hand can do the iso change by holding down the red video record button and dialing iso and toggling iso-auto.

AF-S 18-35G has good review, why is it not popular?

it is a really small, light and sharp lens
Just came back from Tohoku, brought along the D810 and the 18-35mm
Will post pictures soon

@ ortega : yes please. I thought of buying this combination

And yes. I know it has good reviews. Many have said the same things too.
The reason why I said that, some CS bought it then sell it off.
... anyways .....

Did anyone noticed that the D810 is not a 'perfect' fit with your MD-D12 from an aesthetic perspective.. When I got my D810 and MB-D12, I realised the front bottom right of the camera body wasn't perfectly aligned with the grip under the "FX" logo area. Then I went to search the internet and realised the difference between D800/800e and D810 with grip... A pic speaks a thousand words. Pic taken from an overseas forum (see the circled part)

Functionally is ok but....but........but.....weird this small detail is overlooked

Thanks!

Expect a new mk 2 grip some time. ;0

will the grip be loose if after tighten the scroll screw?

In case anyone is looking, Click! had several sets of D810 delivered to them when I was there yesterday. Tempted to grad one but held it off since it's not something I wanted.

Thanks. Nope. Zero. Reason being support for D810 is not yet available on DXO Optics Pro (My choice of raw editing) So everything I got is SOOC jpeg.

But so far, as long as my technique is correct, photos I am getting is super sharp. The Nikon 35mm FX and Sigma 50mm ART are dream lens to pair with the D810..

Sigma 50mm better than nikon 50mm? 1.4? How much?

went down to Lucky Plaza yesterday.
One shop on level 2, 'T2' selling for 3610
They claim its not a grey set. But don't know how true.
